One way in my own life that I have experienced making “middle ground” out of a misunderstanding is when I went back home for the first time after traveling across the country and living in Arizona and California. I grew so much as a person from all the things I’ve seen, experienced, and having so many culture shocks, and trying new things over the two years I was gone that I didn’t feel like I belonged. My parents, since they grew up and spent their young adult years in Chicago, fit right back in where they left.
